"Well animated, great sound, but bad ideas."
You have talent in animation, I give you that. This is one of the most detailed flashes I have ever seen in this site. Unfortunantly, the beauty of this video is marred by some of the ideas used. Namely; the lack of them. The simple lack of any plot makes this a sub par flash when compared to things such as Decline, which do follow stories, fragile, humorous ones, but still stories. Secondly, and this just comes from an eye for realism: These soldiers appear to be futuristic; so why are they using outdated weaponry such as AK-74s and RPGs? Yes, everybody knows them, but it would have made much more sense to see them with HK-416s and M136 AT4s... It's beautiful, but there isn't very much meat behind it.
Author's Response:
Futuristic? Go check out real spec ops uniforms. Make sure you know something before you start being a smart ass. Also this flash is made for entertainment, not for story. Read Hamlet, or go see it in theater if you want some good story.

It's nice to see a strategy game that doesn't entire focus around throwing wave after wave of random units at your enemy. It was also an excellent idea to make this game modern. The maps feel a bit small though, and the weapons are very undetailed, which detract from the game's overall quality. I feel as though you got the gameplay just right though, and the unit customization really feels right this time around. The best feature I think you put in here, however, is the camera. I don't know why, but it just gets me ill when the camera has a series of set posistions, and snaps between them. You should really continue making games like this, maybe up the graphics a bit, and throw in an updated cover system (for example, units pressed up against a wall can turn and fire around it, exposing themselves for one turn, etc.). Overall, really, it's an excellent game with very few problematic bugs.

Yeah... Raito deserved that scythe to that throat.
Death Note is still pretty cool even when it is spoiled though, since the story really does twist... ALOT.
